Dental Clinic: I would be giving a one-star, except for the wonderful nursing student Ivon who started the exam and was supportive through all the b.s.

WASTE OF 2.25 HOURS of my life!!!
Over an hour of health questions, etc. to have the supervising dentist say my blood pressure was to high for what he considered "invasive". X-rays are NOT invasive ?!!

I just had an ACL/miniscus surgery 9 months ago WITH THR SAME BLOOD PRESSURE and this "UNIVERSITY" considered me too high for a DENTAL EXAM.

What happened to the Hippocratic Oath? Does it only say treat patients with perfect conditions?!
Sure glad the students are paying for the dentist to turn away patients.

I received excellent care at WCU Dental Clinic. Everyone from reception, hygienist, professors were caring, detailed and professional. The clinic provided xrays, reviewed medical history, measured gum recession, screened for oral cancer, measured bacteria level, reviewed findings and thoroughly cleaned. For anyone who has gum infections, the clinic will also provide advance periodental treatments-all at no charge.

After each step a professor reviewed and reassessed; it was all very thorough. My hygienist, Amy R. was highly professional and capable. She already has 10 years of experience. This is a bachelor of science program, so I believe many of the students already have many years of work experience and are furthering their education. Thank you WCU for establishing a clinic and thank you to all team members!!!

This teaching facility has awesome staff. Professors Torabi and Penderson were great instructors. They challenge the students to go above & beyond and practice critical thinking.
I would recommend people to take the opportunity collaborating with this wonderful establishment.

Dental students do free exams, x-rays, and teeth cleaning, and they are extremely meticulous! Everything is verified/supervised by the dentist/professor.

The dental students are mostly great ! However there is one desk worker , an older latina lady who is a bit bossy..not very hospitable, & not very gracious. & one supervisor also a latina who is a little condescending . the main thing is that the students themselves who clean the teeth are mostly great ?
