Retrain your officers immediately because they cannot defuse the situation or make any other situation go any more lightly anytime an officer from this department response it seems like the situation gets worse. They need to retrain of how to diffuse this situation and how to be an officer. I don’t trust police officers anymore because they have too big of a complex nowadays

Well, I have to say that I agree with all the other comments. This “police” department is just a bunch of power hungry bullies that seem to have some kind of sadistic pleasure in breaking, bending, and manipulating the laws to bring about “justice.” The officer I encountered earlier in the week probably broke 6 federal and state laws in about four hours. It was impressive! That kind of deviance is above and beyond anything I ever do. ‍♀️ I reported the officer to the DOJ and the Florida Law Enforcement Agency. They seem gung ho about holding everyone else to the letter of the law, but don’t even bother to follow it themselves—or worse—this is their JOB and they don’t know it. This department is why police get a bad name. Just because my officer is a wee guy with a napoleon complex, does not make it ok for him to be verbally abusive or violate the law. But, get this, he told me he “never broke a law in his life.” In spite of my precarious situation, I almost burst out laughing. Like “yeah right, buddy, I guess you are the only person in the history of the species that managed this! I feel honored by your presence.” Out of touch and egotistical. The police aren’t the only ones with hard jobs or dealing with difficult people! Get a grip. Most of them will be washed up and working at Lowe’s in a few years anyway. I did talk to one nice officer there, but he was a major or something. Probably the only normal person I have ever encountered in that department. And yeah, as someone already suggested, I should probably report that officer to the University too—not just their department or legal authorities. But from what I’ve read, it sounds like no one there gets disciplined for bad behavior anyway. UCF police: bullying, illegal and unlawful ? I’m surprised they haven’t made some scandalous national headline yet …”Florida (police) man…..” ?

Our son left his ringer off and we were unable to reach him for quite a while. The officers were very professional and prompt on conducting a well-check to make sure he was ok. I am truly grateful and have peace of mind knowing that these officers are there. Now, I have read some of the previous reviews which seem to need some clarification.

1. If you have attended orientation, it was explained that your child will be arrested for underage drinking. 19 is UNDERAGE!!! Even if the student was just in possession without drinking, the student will be held responsible.
2. If you were truly being RESPONSIBLE you would not have been drinking at 19. We are not naive to think there won't be underage drinking. There are consequences that were clearly explained for these actions. You CHOSE not to follow the rules and put yourself in that predicament and now you have the AUDACITY to blame the cops for your own actions. You got caught doing the wrong thing and now your angry that you have to answer for it. Don't blame the authorities for doing their jobs. Plain and simple!

Very friendly and demure when they arrested me, patrol vehicles were very roomy. 10/10 would recommend getting arrested again for sure. Very professional.

Officer Proffer should seriously reconsider her career choice. Or perhaps her superiors should do that for her. Officer discretion exists for a reason and arresting a person who is RESPONSIBLY NOT DRIVING THEIR VEHICLE as they do not feel comfortable driving under the influence is an absolute abuse of power. If you are that power hungry or that driven to “pump your numbers up,” you don’t deserve the authority possessed by an officer. What an absolute disgrace.

Imagine arresting a 19 year-old for being responsible and not driving while intoxicated. Instead of helping her, she was arrested for simply trying to stay warm while sobering up. Ron DeSantis probably loves this though, what great cops that “serve” the community

Can’t even ask a simple question without getting an attitude. The only pension these “officers” deserve is a singular plain donut to share.
