I went here for welding and it's true what every one says on the reviews.. they don't care if you're learning or not as long as goals are met and fees are paid. I'd ask my instructor ?s and he'd get annoyed with me would answer me with one word and refuse to explain to me.. as well as break down what I'm down wrong and what to do to correct it. On a final he got mad at me cuz I was helping other students to adjust there welding machines. idk why if he didn't bother to show them. At the end he turned off the gas on purpose so that I wouldn't finish and fail. Throughout the program another student who was the most advanced of our class was the one who thought me everything. If it wasnt for him I would of never learned anything.

A well apportioned trade school for those looking for a career in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or welding fields. The staff is amazing, they seem to truly want to help the students.

This school is a scam if you go here you’ll just learn the basics and you’ll get no CERTIFICATE during my time at this school, the beginners instructor was always absent and then halfway through the course the advanced instructor kept calling off n she even quit halfway into the advanced course, I had 2 classmates that were army veterans and we all graduated and got diplomas but no certificates and for the 2 army veterans they arent even working in welding the just gave up on welding because of this school

A total scam in this school, if you plan to attend a course, I recommend not doing so. I had to graduate in December and when the date arrived, they told me that I did not complete assignments and hours because I stopped attending my classes in a course, which was not true. and they didn't give me my diploma, as I read in many comments and it’s true THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY, teacher Ortiz is very good at teaching you everything she can and you can learn and develop your skills, the new teacher for morning class is a disgrace, he thought he was the big boss when he barely He is a simple instructor with “supposed”experience, in short terms DO NOT GO HERE

If you’re trying to get into welding stay away from this school, other students and I had a terrible experience here, No teacher or ANY Tig machines for 8 weeks during my last process. They told us they’d be able to certify us on site by the time our 9 month course was finished but that never happened. Poorly maintained machines and absolutely no structure to our day to day exercise wise whatsoever. Their post graduation isn’t great you’re not allowed practice, and the jobs they send you most of the time are jobs that require certifications or just processes they don’t even teach you. Not worth 18k I would look into apprenticeship with the union if you’re serious about learning about welding. This school is a joke and once you pay them they forget about you and focus on the next person they’re trying to sell enrollment to. The tools they give you are cheap ( all of which I had to replace before I even finished i.e. 9months) they don’t provide respirators or a tape measurer in their little bundle they give you so if you choose to go here I’d suggest picking those up.

Edit: they did have issues initially the new team worked very hard to fix these issues. They made progress in fixing their issues in a timely manner. Daniel has been an amazing help. The new Director and the front office team are also amazing. They hear your complaints and work promptly to fix them. I am thankful that they are taking my concerns seriously and working to fix them. Im thankful for their dedication to hearing student concerns and their honesty and integrity.

PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!! YES THE REVEWS ARE NOT LIEING. ALL THIS SCHOOL DOES IS KEEP STUDENTS COMING IN BUT WONT CARE WHAT THEY LEARN ASLONG AS GOALS ARE BEING MET. WE HAD GOOD TEACHERS BUT THEY HAD TO LEAVE CAUSE SUMMIT DOESNT LIKE GIVING RAISES TO GOOD TEACHERS. THEY DONT CARE WHATSO EVER IF WE ACTUALLY ARE LEARNING IM IN A CLASS WITH OTHER STUDENTS WHO ARE CONFUSED THE WHOLE DAY AND THEYRE BEING TOUGHT NOTHING AND WHEN I SAY NOTHING I LITERALLY MEAN NOTHING ALL THE CORSE WORK THAT IS PROVIDED BY SUMMIT IS NOT TAUGHT, CAN YOU BELIVE I WAS TOLD THAT ITS MY JOB TO ASK FOR A QUICK LESSON ON AN ASSIGNMENT? SHOULDN’T THE WHOLE CLASS BE TAUGHT? Not to mention my teachers told me math is not important at all? It’s starting to seem like a tutoring place instead of a school. If you want to be in the trades go to la trade school or UEI cause at this point UEI will make you a better electrician If your goal is to be the worst electrician and make minimum wage your whole life come to summit you will love it here.

All around happy with what summit college has to offer us students. Very knowledgable instructors (James) and staff. The student portal is easy to navigate and get assignments done on time.

Linda Van, my admission advisor was very welcoming, kind, easy to talk to and made my admission process very easy. She walked me through the whole process and asked all my questions I had throughly. Thank you, Linda!!

Sincerely,
Kevin
