Took daughter to an open house. It was well organized and Emily the tour guide did a very good job. The school was very impressive with its resources for a small school!
Update-- Went back recently for the championship cheer competition. This school put on a well organized event. !! And we got to see more of the beautiful campus while there.

Beautiful campus and wonderful people!! I originally toured SRU in October of ‘22 and I absolutely loved it! I went again this weekend for some additional events that were held! Overall, great college!

I absolutely love this university. It is quiet and rural. It accomadates all sorts of majors and the English program is phenomenal. There is such a wide variety of classes and clubs on campus and the staff is very friendly and always willing to assist students. On campus services do an amazing job in regards to giving the students what they need. All over a great experience.

Earned my masters there in 2006. Good school, nice staff. I live in California (the state, not the city in PA) and I have to explain to people it is an actual school and we have an athletic program, etc. I enjoyed my time there, commuted from Pittsburgh.

i'm a current student here at SRU and it's an excellent campus with super friendly staff and students. the claims of alcohol are as true as any other campus, and it's very hard to regulate, but i've been at the university for three semesters and have had no issues whatsoever. the campus is beautiful and the buildings are well maintained, and it's an overall excellent college. the only downside is that in order to do really anything, you must travel off campus and drive a ways out because it is in the middle of nowhere, but it is nothing new to me due to the fact that my hometown is very similar. it's an amazing school, and if you're looking to attend a supportive and beautiful school with good programs for any major, slippery rock is the perfect school for you.

The late great Ray Reiner of Superstation WGN in Chicago Illinois fame. Hosted a weekday news sports weather and entertainment program for over 25 years. Ray Reiner was a loyal graduate and fan of Slippery Rock sports. He would report the outcome of each game with video highlights. It brings warm feelings to my heart that Football is very much a winning program again. America needs an institution to prosper and be an example of honor knowledge and development of our young men and women. God Bless Slippery Rock. Attend!!

It's not the greatest university around. But.....I graduated from there in 1986 with a degree in chemistry and I've had a very good career. I've been chosen for jobs over candidates from both Pitt and Penn State. In addition, I was able to commute from home and save myself the burden a paying off big student loans.

Very nice, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The campus is clean. If you are a nature person there are several hikes within walking distance from the university.
