It's college not a day care. This is where you learn responsibility and readiness for the real world. Professor are here to do a job that doesn't mean they have to care about you, but if they do it's a plus. Like my parents used to tell me "They have their degree, you need to get yours!" That got me through college quickly!

This is for the San jac south campus veteran services. The group there are very knowledgeable and helpful. First time in college since the end of my service and the team at San jac especially at veteran services made it so much easier on me. Hopefully classes reflect!

Book store attitude ? after paying $464.04, and it stating NEW BOOKS. I would think this is what I’m paying for. It came with a stain , folded sheets, and a hair ect. lady gave attitude after i told her i received my books saturday and barely opened them up monday during my class. she took my books and asked me to show her where it’s at. i showed her and with attitude she said it looked like a printing error (it was not). she then asked (rudely) “well what do you want me to do about it.” I asked what could they do and she again asked with more attitude “well what do you want me to do about it”. so i just asked to have another set of books. She then asks one of her coworkers for a book and sets it down on the counter and says “let me know if it’s up to your standards.. Really? it’s not whether it’s meeting my standards or not it’s what I paid for .

The beamer campus staff is HORRIBLE!!! This is a community college it's really weird they don't have the word community in the school name. The staff in the financial aid are horrible as well, except for Margarita lerma. The financial aid told me that I couldn't go to that school because I'm not seeking a program there when I had repeatedly told them that San jac community college doesn't have the program I want be in. I also told that to admissions and they couldn't inform me anything before I continued on with the whole process (could've saved me the time, gas and gone to another school where they're more informative) because of all that I was not able to attend the that semester. Another one of the financial aid ladies told me I needed to take financial literacy course when I didn't even need to and doing that it delayed registration process. O and one of the financial aid ladies told me "there is no different between community college and university". The professors are rude YES the students are going to ask dumb questions and ask questions about things that you had already mentioned. The students are taking your class for the first time so you should be MORE understanding just because you all have been a professor for 100 years and know all of it that don't mean ALL the students do. You are professors/teachers you should not answer with a smart or rude remark then why be a professor. Bottom line the staff here are not very informative and like another one of financial aid ladies said "they are not all on the same page". There are other community colleges in Houston go to one where they want to help and want to get you into classes ASAP are informative with everything by letting you know the next step you need to do because San jacinto community college is not one of them.

I agree with some of the reviews but wow so many bad ones. From the beginning I have had an amazing experience with applying, getting registered, financial aid office and with some advisors. I have had a bad experience with maybe two advisors. Last names, White and Ortiz they just don't care about helping at all both came off very rude. Great advisors are Enriquez and Flores! Set up a virtual appointment with these two, they care about us students. I have been attending San Jacinto for about a year now and most are very helpful including the professors which I feel are great due to me doing prior research on them before I registered for their classes as well as doing everything online which is more convenient for me. Which could possibly be the reason why my experience is better than most in person students. I have had an advisor create a plan of study and one thing that did upset was that I was told to take a specific class which wasn't required for my plan of study and I didn't find out until after the last day to drop the class. So I wasn't too happy with my time and money being wasted. But overall San Jacinto is a great school and the good outweighed the bad.

Worst experience of my life with a teacher there that teaches HR. Plus now in days they don’t want to teach you they want to just teach for a hour when the class was a 4 hour class and at that don’t even want to teach the one hour either. I had proof of her not teaching the full time and it didn’t matter she would log on teams let us go then she would stay on teams acting like she is still in class but she’s not and would say that’s her proof that she had class but in reality she would let us go early very early. The retaliation was real when I spoke up about many incidents that happened to me in the class she offended me, was not fair grading my grades on group projects she would give my partners 90s and I would get 70 when we did the same work. I would talk with my piers and find out she was only being harsh on me would put my work late when it was never late and the teacher said her boss was her friend and so basically I was wasting my breath after that I didn’t complain anymore or said more and didn’t tell her friend boss nothing anymore of any other incidents.
