Platt College

This school literally cares only about money. I did very well academically but that had nothing to do with the professors. It was sink or swim and when students didn’t do well there was very little done to help them, two students got kicked out of the program right before graduation per the policy of not being able to fail more than two classes. So they were left with so much debt and no job to pay it off. You teach yourself everything which wasn’t a problem for me but for others it seemed like a 100k tuition should teach them something. They had my life in their hands for three years. It’s ironic that a job based on compassion education and understanding platt had none of these

Keep away from this college if you really want to get a career, I will file a complaint about Platt College for failing to meet accreditation standards and adequately prepare students for standardized exams. I have personally experienced the negative effects of the school's shortcomings in these areas. Firstly, I believe that Platt College does not follow any of the accreditations required by the accreditation agencies. The school's way of teaching and preparation for standardized exams like the ATI is insufficient and does not provide students with the necessary knowledge to pass such exams. I have reviewed the accreditation standards that Platt College is supposed to meet and have found that they fall short in several areas. For example, the school does not adequately prepare students to pass the ATI exam, and many students have struggled to pass this exam and feel unprepared for the nursing field because the professors do not review during class the content that will be in the exam. I believe that Platt College should be held accountable for their failure to meet accreditation standards and provide students with adequate preparation for standardized exams. Also this is a for profit school so it makes sense for them to keep students in a very low chance of succeeding that way they keep paying tuition.

I had to move back to FL due to my Husband getting stationed there, was gone for just over a year and a half. Was told that the policy didn’t allow for me to come back now that we are back in Colorado. That’s extremely disappointing not to be able to be flexible with a military family. While in school, we signed a contract and then our rates went up. Tuition is absolutely ridiculous. The classes I completed and paid for I can’t get transferred out until I pay 8k to the school? That’s mind blowing. Do better.

Koby Cox isn't a student, please see picture. The only college in the state where simulation isn't a learning experience but rather a pass or fail scenario. Failing equates to being forced to drop from your courses and retaking the courses again next qtr. It's all about money now that only a couple teachers who actually care are still around. Furthermore, when you fail the college will NOT explain the reasons via email or in writing. I have learned to not trust myself or anyone else as a result.

Happy to take 150 deposit and no one contacted me or returned my calls going on 4 months now.

The staff are dedicated and very knowledgeable! Their capacity is incredible for such a small college.
