You need to make sure you have no plans within your time period of each semesters. If you have a 9 month program or any others, you cannot miss any class or take a break like other campuses and be able to come back. So if you have a death in the family, get into a car accident, have some form of surgery and need to recover from it, going into labor etc; they expect you to be doing those assignments on your surgery table or when you're healing. Just a fyi. This school has turned me off. Another funny feature about this school is when you're needing to speak to someone, you just get voicemails and no call backs. Emails don't go to anyone and it's like they don't listen to what you have to say. But the minute you're fed up and done with the school, you get bombarded with messages, texts, missed calls, voicemails etc which is bizarre. Like where were you when I needed you..?

Words cannot express how grateful I am for this school and the amazing staff. They truly care about their students. I’m disappointed in some of the reviews because my experience has been nothing but great. Mrs. T is a wonderful teacher and makes sure her students are prepared for their exam. I’m glad I made the right choice in choosing this school! Ms. Jennie is also great! I don’t know how many times I’ve bothered her (probably more than any other student lol) and she always gets back to me with help. Thank you thank you thank you!

The greatest asset of Florida Technical College is its great professors and staffs. They are not only highly skilled professionals in their respective areas of expertise, but they are also profoundly enthusiastic about imparting knowledge and guiding students. Their commitment to sharing knowledge, promoting analytical thinking, and cultivating intellectual inquisitiveness is very remarkable. They make extraordinary efforts to guarantee that students obtain a comprehensive education that goes beyond the confines of the classroom, therefore eliminating the need for tuition fees.

Started the electrical program in January. Started off fine but as time went on it got worse and worse. I did my core class and level 1 electrical class with some minor hiccups but no big problems. Got into the advanced class with Mr. Drury and everything has gone downhill. My first day in the advanced class I walked in and he was working on a totally different chapter than what we were supposed to start on, so for the remainder of the week I was teaching myself out of a book. As time went on I noticed that he does this all the time, so basically everything he is talking about is ahead of where i should be in the class (making it so i essentially don't have a teacher, I'm just teaching myself from a textbook at this point). On top of that whenever I would ask for help on assignments he either treats you like a dumb child that wasn't paying attention because you don't fully understand what your working on, or if you message him online he'll get back to you 2-3 weeks after the assignment is due. I called the campus to submit/make a formal complaint, when I told the phone operator who I was calling to submit a complaint about they winced and said "oh Drury... he's a tough one" later in the phone call I overheard them saying to their supervisor "yeah its another student calling to complain about Drury" which goes to show I am most definitely not the first person to have the same experience. In conclusion don't waste your money on a teacher that doesn't care because he could care less about whether or not I'm learning, he's just there for a paycheck.

I never received my certificate of completion. Apparently it was because I’m still paying my student loans. I spend 9 months learning this curriculum with barely any hands on experience and I can’t even my freaking certificate.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!!!

My experience here was excellent with the staff and instructors . They were always willing to help and if anything came up they were more than understanding . Not knowing a lot of english, they went out of their way to help me out as much as possible. The work study program was a great way to get some office experience .

They should have Professional Admin who know what the students is looking for before signing up students immediately and getting into a dept. I am specifically looking for help and ALL I'm getting is the run around with NO ISSUE RESOLVED!! WHAT IS THAT!! Teacher are great and other staff. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND SCHOOL IF THEY DO KNOW how to have people stay at work who know's how guide student well!.

I went to the Medical Coding and Billing in 2022 when they still offered the associates. In April of 2023(the month I would have walked the stage apparently if they had bothered to tell me there was a ceremony! So yay…) they completely did away with the associates program—ironic considering. I passed my classes with flying colors and passed the NCCT NCICS with my CCS—which I was told through the school and by teachers would be recognized nationally! And that there was high demand for this certification! Wow! And that they would help me get a job! 🙂 well…surprise. Here I am a year later, totally unable to find a job in the Medical Coding/Billing field because NOWHERE recognizes the NCICS CCS and out an EXTRA 800+ dollars because I had to pay out of pocket for my CPC through the AAPC because the ONLY WAY FTC is having their students certified through the AAPC is in their bachelors which is ANOTHER 15k. Now, I’m feeling a bit vengeful here, and did a bit of digging. For any new students looking here’s a bit of legal history: in 2018 they settled with the federal government for $600,000 in false FASFA claims. There was a lawsuit by a previous student as well which settled. And a few BBB complains (which by the way—this school is NOT accredited with the BBB) one which complained is exactly like mine during the same exact time period. Save yourself some stress and money. I’m unimpressed and have filed for Borrower’s forgiveness with student aid.
