The issues currently facing the NOVA Nursing Program are deeply troubling and demand immediate attention. It is concerning to see such serious allegations of discrimination, injustice, and breaches in academic integrity at a place that is supposed to nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals. Reports of faculty misconduct and insufficient responses to student grievances point to significant systemic issues that could undermine the educational experiences of numerous students.

One particularly distressing incident involved a clinical instructor who, during a lecture, threatened to expel a student in front of peers. This incident is indicative of a larger problem where the program's leadership appears to prioritize hiding issues rather than addressing them and supporting students. There are grave concerns about discrimination, harassment, and integrity in the program's examination and grading processes. It is especially worrying that there may be retaliatory measures affecting students' evaluations after they report grievances. Such actions compromise the trust and integrity critical to a fair and supportive educational environment and could potentially contravene Federal Civil Rights laws and the Virginia Code.

These issues cannot merely be investigated; there is a clear and urgent need for a thorough and immediate reform of the system. Educational institutions must be exemplars of fairness and ethical conduct. It is imperative that NOVA takes swift, serious steps to address these failures. Immediate and transparent measures are necessary to rebuild trust in the program and to ensure that all students have an equitable chance to succeed in their studies.

The leadership at NOVA and within the Nursing Program must be held accountable. It is essential for them to demonstrate their commitment to non-discriminatory values and show that they do not tolerate harassment. They need to confirm that threats of expulsion are baseless, that their assessment and grading systems are impartial, and that there are no retaliatory actions against those who speak out.

It is crucial that NOVA stops concealing its internal issues, adheres to its own policies, and cooperates fully with ongoing investigations by relevant authorities such as the Federal Civil Rights Office, SCHEV, ACEN, the Virginia Nursing Board, and SACSCOC.

The community and the public deserve transparency and truth. I will continue to provide updates on the progress made in addressing these complaints and seeking justice for the unfair treatment experienced at NOVA. It is important that the public is informed, and that others who have faced similar issues see that change is achievable.

Took both classes for fun, career exploration and a career change. Wonderful instructors, great prices for the education you receive. Most of my instructors were great, only had one that was flaky. I noticed somebody mentioned they had to retake classes. I have a degree from a 4 year university, was able to transfer all credits - it was not an issue and easily done by requesting official transcripts be sent directly to NVCC.

NOVA is by far the best community college I've been to, i spent a couple of months here and there but NOVA was my settlement. I did two years here at NOVA and then transferred to George Mason to finish my nursing course. Now only a couple more months and i get my diploma. NOVA provides you with many benefits, for new comers the staff is really warm and welcoming and i would say mostly in my two years I've had the best educational experience. If you want to start off slow and steady NOVA is the right place. Financially it is not that bad and they provide so many benefits. Success starts at NOVA.

My experience today was similar to my previous appointment for dental hygiene care about 6 months ago. Absolutely first class care delivered by a knowledgeable student overseen by a licensed practitioner at an extraordinary low price including as many revisits as are necessary to complete an initial evaluation the depth and breadth of which I have never seen in any commercial dental practice and follow-up care such as cleaning for scaling with confirmation every step of the way and great respect for patient needs and in particular the need of the patients to slowly absorbed those elements of the experience which will deliver learning resulting in behavioral change and eventually freedom from the need for routine Dental Care or at least a reduction in the frequency of care I have taken some information about my own personal Dental situation out of this review because that would not be appropriate I believe this is a general review and definitely I give them five stars they are reachable by bus by the way $35 for everything you need and you can expect to spend between 3 and 9 hours in the chair

One of the worst community colleges out there. The people here that works there are not very friendly, nore are they helpful. They are extremely unprofessional at their job. They don't care about the student there, only in money. This school will do it's best to screw you over and steal your money. The professors here are a hit or a miss. Some of them are really good, but mostly alot of bad ones that works there. The food is kind of bad, not all but a few. The summer classes are a joke and they won't give you time to study. They will rush you with your work. The counselors and the financial aid office are very bad. They don't care about the student nore they want you help you with your problem.

One of the worst institutions. Not only are they so unorganized that it's astonishing that they are still around, but they are almost impossible to transfer from. Nova will save you money, but in the long run it is much easier to go straight into a 4 year institution where they wont lose your transcripts 3 times, or make you take an extra semester because they counseling staff has no idea what they are doing.

It's been my second year and feels like I am a part of the NOVA family, where everyone supports each other like a strong family to achieve their dreams. I have saved thousands of dollars for the same education that is being offered at some random private colleges and universities. The professors and instructors are real motivators.

NOVA is a great school, of course it has it flaws but so do we. If you want to learn and apply yourself, NOVA is the place to go. People who complain about this school is because they didn't do there work in class. Once you go to college, it like being in the real world..... You can't be late to class, you can't miss class, and you have to turn in your work. Any job/ career requires all of these for you to get a paycheck. People who think is a bad school just we're not ready to go to college. NOVA is great!!!!
