Date: August 7, 2024. This Review is For the Office which makes appointments with counselors. Initially, I was informed by my Counselor to call next week to make an appointment with the Counselor I was previously working with to finish working on my Ed-Plan. When I called one week after, the person who answered the call for E-Counseling for appointments told me I won't be able to make an appointment until next month in September. There were important questions I needed to ask the counselor before the deadline August 31 and I waited one week to call for this. But the person on E-Counseling told me to call after a deadline has passed. Why not provide the counseling assistance before the deadline?

As a proud Blue Devil alumni, it is with great honor to recommend this community college to anyone and everyone. This place helped me in so many ways. I would proudly return to complete more A.A. degrees. I would definitely return to be an employee here. The professors and other staff are amazing and go above and beyond to assist students. Love the community involvement. Great location.

So far this college has been pleasant to deal with. No problems with staff or professors. They keep the campus pretty clean. Staff parking should not be right by all the front doors. Those spots should be for students. Staff should have their own dedicated lot. And it seems there's an awful lot of spots for staff as it is.

I love Merced College! Compared to Madera College, it’s a lot bigger than the College in Madera. Some of the staff is rude, others are not. I love a lot of the proffesors that teach here, some just don’t care and aren’t helpful. The programs are great and they have many resources to help you succeed in the school. The parking is ridiculous, the staff have all the good parking spots. They should leave the good parking spots for students. It’s hard to find a parking spot! The campus is very clean, and I love the vibe I get, going into campus. In all, it’s been a great place to learn and to succeed in your dreams. I’ve had a good experience here, I know some have not. But, everyone has their own opinions, I’m just sharing mine.

Its a good school and yes its boring, but you learn a lot especially if you pick the good teachers. When I first graduated high school I did not want to come here because everyone I knew would say it sucked, but I had no other choice because MJC was far, but it really doesn't the only thing is that its not fun, so if your looking for a fun school don't go here.

So far I like this school and am in my last semester. I've only encountered one bad professor in the 2 years I've attended but he's no longer there. All the crim professors I've had were really good, and so were all the psychology professors I've taken. Those classes I really enjoyed most. Also, the college offers a lot of services many don't know about or take advantage such as EOP&S book services, Care and Calworks for single parents, Veteran Services, Workstudy, and DSPS, plus many more that I haven't even listed. A lot of the staff their have gone out of there way many times for me, and to be honest this has been a better experience than I've had when I attend a semester elsewhere.
