I am absolutely loving my decision to attend Jersey College! The schedule is fantastic, with just a 3-day commitment each week, and the tuition assistance programs available are incredibly helpful in making my education more affordable. And guess what? You don't need any pre-reqs to start the nursing program at Jersey College, unlike other colleges, so that definitely makes it an all-in-one RN program to me. The dean, instructors, and other faculty are absolutely incredible. Everyone has an open-door policy and is so eager to help with anything you need - whether it's a pep talk, tutoring, or snacks to keep you going through the day in class. Every time you see one of the faculty, it's always, "How are you doing? How are your classes going? Do you need anything?" It creates such a warm and supportive atmosphere that really makes a difference. This level of support is truly making my college experience more positive and fulfilling. I cannot wait to see what is to come as the semesters follow on!

I am in my last semester of Jersey College's RN Residency program. Our class started in Jan 2021. We are the very first class for the Port Charlotte campus. They say that everything that can happen badly in life will happen in nursing school. Well, let me tell you that is so very true. Our class has been through so much together. We have made it through tragedies, life-saving events, losing a physician we all loved, and a Cat 4 Hurricane. In February of 2022, my 14-year-old son was hit and killed while riding his bike to school. That morning I was taking my midterms at the Port Charlotte campus. My world stopped at that moment. I wasn't sure how I would make it to the next minute, hour, or day, let alone worry about school. Every one of my instructors and classmates knew how much finally coming back to finish my RN after 18 years of being an LPN, meant to me. Every student and instructor showed up to my house, they made a go fund and raised $14,000 for me in less than 24 hours. Every one of them came to my son's funeral. They held me up when I couldn't hold myself up. I made them promise not to let me give up. My son was so proud of me for finally going back to school. I knew that giving up was not an option. I had less than one year left. The staff and students kept their promise to me. They walked me into my first clinical after his passing. They were there for me every step of the way. I can't thank the staff and students at Jersey college Port, Charlotte for all the love and support they have given and still continue to give me. I will graduate on January 19, 2023. I will finish my last semester on December 16, 2022. I did it, but I couldn't have done it without these amazing people. Some of the best friends I have now, I met during my 2 years at Jersey College. The staff is dedicated, and always there to help with whatever you need. The entire staff has an open-door policy, you can speak to them about whatever you need. The program is a great program, but the real-life experience, the love, support, compassion, and teamwork, are what I will always carry with me. There are some things you can't learn from a book, some things can't be taught. Jersey College, PC not only educated me on becoming an RN, but they also taught me how to be a compassionate, loving, understanding, leader.

I'm so happy i chose to attend the RN program at Jersey College of Port Charlotte , The teachers and staff are all amazing the support that i get from this school is out of this world!! Nursing school is a struggle, little did i know how much of a struggle it would be especially after being out of school for 15 years but having the support of the teachers telling me "YOU CAN DO THIS" is a blessing. So far this school has changed me to having more of a positive outlook on what i can accomplish. A special thank you for the support i have received from Tammy Casperson, Siobhan Santucci and Dr.Voelpel I greatly appreciate you all and everyone at Jersey College of Port Charlotte. : )

After years of putting off getting my nursing degree I finally decided to go for it. After looking at many different schools and seeing how those schedules just didn't work for me with my busy life with work and family I found out about Jersey College from my job and after asking around and getting a lot of good feed back from coworkers who attended, I decided to go inquire more and it was a great decision. The schedule for classes works great for me with working 3 days a week at the hospital and being a full time mom, I am able to balance out my schedule. I am half way done with 2nd semester and even with all the chaos that I have gone thru since starting in January I must say the love and support that I have received from here is amazing. Starting with our Dean all the way down to our secretary there is support. They became extended family and I have amazing classmates too who became extended family as well. Now it is hard work and a lot to take in but it's worth it. Why waste time having to do pre-reqs at another school and then hope to get into that schools nursing program when with JerseyCollege it is included so you get all your pre-reqs and core classes together plus your clinical hours. Check them out I feel that our Dean doesn't set up future nurses for failure instead helps guided you on the way to make it work best whether its full-time or part-time. This is a journey not a race. Best of luck to all my fellow classmates and to future students.

I hands down made the best decision in choosing to attend Jersey College. As a hospital based nursing program, the hands on experience in the hospital is priceless. In addition, everyone from the dean to the instructors are not only passionate about the nursing profession but also very committed to your success. It was not an easy journey but it’s one I wouldn’t change for the world. Thank you is not enough ❤️

I was originally attending another college for nursing and had such a horrible experience that it almost turned me off from wanting to be a nurse. I researched several other schools for other nursing or healthcare educational options, and I came across Jersey College. I heard good things about them before so I decided to research further. From the very beginning of the process, from application, to connecting with my school advisor, to financial aid, the testing and interview, it was the easiest process! Everyone communicated so well, responded back in a timely manner, listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. They were all so welcoming and friendly, kind and real. I have been a 1st semester student for 12 weeks thus far , and of course you think, they are most often times always kind and friendly in the beginning because they want you to attend their school, but I can honestly say, they are ALWAYS that way. As for the education and style of teaching, they genuinely want to see you win!! They take the time out to explain what you may not understand, break it down for you and give you the tools you need to be a successful nurse! I am truly proud to say that I am a part of Jersey College, rocking the magnet tag on the back of car! Good luck to those how are currently attending and to those who are considering attending, you won't be disappointed!!
