I had a very disappointing experience at Highland College. While I truly loved my time there overall, I faced unfair treatment in situations involving the dorm and the Student Affairs office, which left a negative impression. However, I must highlight the International Office, where the staff were exceptionally kind and supportive, making a real difference during my time there. Additionally, the professors were extremely kind, and I genuinely enjoyed learning from them. Despite the challenges, I’m grateful for the great times I had after leaving this school.

I had the pleasure of being a student at Highline College about ten years ago, and I can confidently say it remains one of Seattle's hidden gems. The campus is not only clean and well-maintained but also features beautifully vibrant gardens that create a serene atmosphere for studying and relaxation.

The facilities are impressive, with numerous classrooms, sports fields, and entertainment areas that cater to a variety of interests. There's ample parking available, making it convenient for students and visitors alike. Additionally, the nearby bus station provides easy access to public transportation, which is a huge advantage.

The staff at Highline College are incredibly helpful and dedicated to ensuring students have a positive experience. Overall, Highline College is a respectful and supportive environment that truly fosters growth and learning. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality educational experience in Seattle!

Highline College is a fantastic campus. I'm not a student here but I booked an exam at the exam center. The description to building 1 was straight forward and the instructions of parking was quite straightforward. The staff at the exam center was absolutely professional.

I had awesome teachers and staff. They were always helpful and kind at their best honest abilties except for my calc II & piano teacher. I spent many drowsy days trying to study due to so much rain but the scenic view made up for it. Few handed out easy grades but thankful for the ones who actually challenged students. I didn't walk graduation 2015 because it was so late in my life for marking an actual achievement. Fair out of state tuition costs were a blessing. Thank you. I definitely recommend this school before going to any university that cares more about research than education.

I went here in 2019 - 2021, and the college was fine compared to the stupid schools I went to in the past. However, I wish I had picked better classes! I picked a women of film class, which was a very stupid class to take, not to mention the lady teaching that class was very rude, grumpy, condescending, and obnoxious! She is not qualified to be a teacher! The class was definitely not as easy as I thought it would be. If you can't describe films well and you're not a feminist (I'm sure as hell not), don't take this class! I'm NEVER EVER taking a class like that again!

I also took an English 101 class with a VERY rude and condescending blonde teacher. I literally raised my hand to ask a question, and she whispered a snarky remark to her assistant saying "Go see what she wants! I don't know why she's raising her hand!". What did she want me to do? Shout my question to her? That's stupid! She was not as helpful as she thinks she is! She was very dismissive and disrespectful. She's also not at all qualified to be a teacher.

But the students were much nicer and cool to talk to than the students at my previous schools. As someone who strongly hates school, Highline college was tolerable. It's not perfect but definitely tolerable.

Also, other than those teachers I mentioned, the teachers are mostly nice, chill, and compared to my previous teachers at my previous schools, they were caring!

Also, I made my very first ACTUAL best friend at Highline College (we are still best friends to this day! ?)

I was considering taking better classes at Highline college that are actually of my interest. But because I hate homework, I don't have the money for it, there were times I was VERY late to class, and I have a job, I decided not to. I feel like if I picked better classes with MUCH better teachers, I would have an even better experience. But this college, I will say, was okay! It's definitely better than my previous schools that I've been to that honestly made me want to commit suicide!

Also, off topic, but I loved that Churches chicken was a couple minutes away from Highline college! Church's chicken is my favorite chicken place! Lol!

It’s been a decade since I was here last and nothing has changed. Still a great campus with a wonderful atmosphere and view. But needs some TLC.

Mixed feelings. Everything had been going really well with getting set up for winter quarter, until I needed to get my intake appointment done for my learning disability accommodations. They canceled my intake appointment three times in a row, and on the 4th time they didn't even call to tell me it was canceled again. They just didn't show up. This has wasted so much of my registration time. I'm just gonna start this whole process over with Green River College at this point, they've been so much better at communicating with me. If you don't need a disability intake appointment, Highline might be fine. It really was going great until this part.

*DO NOT GO HERE!!!* Just don't. There are 100+ other options. Some of those suck too so DO YOUR RESEARCH but avoid here. They do not care about students REAL SUCCESS anymore. Only exists to take people's money but not invest it into student success & support and the school, the hours of programs, the "technology" is outdated/slow... Real huge disappointment & wasted time in my life to sacrifice to try to obtain a degree that I'm not prepared to enter the field with because it will not compete with others or the stuff we're learning is obsolete once I graduate, if I graduate ... SPEAKING OF GRADUATION - LOOK UP THE GRADUATION RATE: ~36%! This is unacceptable & deplorable but those running things at Highline do not even care! What departments are successful? What programs ARE students graduating from? And what bulk of those not graduating from Highline of programs are they dropping out of?
Instructors are paid to teach students and students are sacrificing time & money to learn, so that transaction should be a win-win but clearly, clearly, it is only one sided!
0/5 stars for the school. 1/5 stars for convenience of location. DO BETTER HIGHLINE "LEADERS" - LET'S MAKE THAT GRADUATION RATE AT LEAST 75% which is even better than what it once was. It's 100000000% possible!
