Problem # 1: georgia highlands college is the WORSE school I have ever attended! There were way too many problems during my fall semester of 2023. First the tutoring center. I was having trouble with an assignment, so I went to tutoring for it. I had originally already had a tutor (online) who I consistently would go to every now and then. However, they said that they couldn’t help me with homework assignments but only with understanding the content. But when I attend the orientation, one of the staff members told me that the tutors are allowed to help homework assignments…. Strike one. The A & P tutor sent me to another writing tutor would could help me with the assignment. I made an appointment with the writing tutor, but when I arrived on zoom link...she never showed up. Instead she called me last minute saying that she don’t know how to work her device and doesn’t know how to help me…It’s the fact that she didn’t even bother to show but called at the LAST MINUTE! I spoke with a staff member (guidance counselor?) about the issue I was having, she sent me to the Director of Testing and Tutoring which was helpful. However, they said that their not allowed to help with this specific assignment and I could do this on my own…..Strike two. I was so mad that the staff members who made me go through all that just to tell me they can’t help me with the assignments. Mind you, my assignments was d due within three next two weeks after this situation happened…it didn’t make any sense. So i pretty much wasted my time making appointments with the tutors, only to not receive the help i needed. On top of that, mental health was horrible. I called the 988 5x because i stressed and having panic attacks by the point. I talked to my (in-person) tutoring about the situation, they were very helpful. But by that point i was already behind with the assignments, so i ended up dropping the course.

Our family loves going to walk, ride bikes, and fish at the Georgia Highlands lake! Very clean, peaceful, and a fun place to hang out with the family! ?

Georgia Highlands College Rome campus is one of the most beautiful campuses of GHC. The staff are friendly, the security makes me feel safe especially during late visits and everyone is masked. The price per credit hour for in state tuition is fantastic. Probably the highlight is Paris Lake and the boardwalk; nice to walk off the stress of an exam!

This College features a well-maintained 2mi trail around a lake and a relatively short hidden boardwalk that goes over a swampy woodland in the back of it. Perfect place to jog.

So far, not impressed by the staff at all. This is supposed to be my first semester back in school and they have messed everything up and I can't get a single human on the phone to discuss the issues at hand. It's funny that a school themselves on great student relations can't make phone calls or answer in a timely manner, and allows their employees to bash other universities in orientations with new college students. It all seems very unprofessional to me.

I've been going to Georgia Highlands for a year and a half. I haven't had any problems with the wchool. All of the staff is very informative and helpful. Prices of classes are not bad. The cartersvilletter campus is beautiful. The science department is great!

Had a terrible time here. Got accused of cheating and even though I had all the evidence of not cheating they decided that the "opinion" of the professor was more credible than evidence was basically their verdict. Also when I first signed up they considered me "out of state" because I listed my boyfriend as a emergency contact and when I ask why they decided that the staff member answered " well because they are not blood related" even though I had been living in Georgia for 10 years

Administrative staff is extremely rude and need to take classes in ethics. If you have a documented disability, teachers will not work with you, and you are mistreated on the basis of your disability. Testing proctors treat you awful if you have a disability and require accommodations. Also never felt safe with the employees from the trucking company across the street from the college shooting. Almost every time I am in the parking lot or at the lake, they are shooting.
