Chill laid back school, so laid back we got some protesters trying to rile up the students but everyone just went on their way. It’s my first year and majoring in accounting so I’m definitely getting my moneys worth. It’s way better than paying an overpriced amount of money to go to a college with more “prestige”. Affordable tuition with a promising degree, which really helps if you’re taking out loans. I will say that there could be more of a sense of community but it’s not impossible to make friends, I’ve met some cool people so far, if you wanna party hard you can go somewhere else lol.
It’s a commuter school anyways. But I’m having a good time academically speaking, my teachers have been good and always willing to work with you as long as you do the work.

I graduated from here 10 years ago with a degree in computer science. While I can't speak to more recent changes, I enjoyed my time there getting my degree. The teachers were very nice, caring, and helped me throughout the years.

For a mediocre degree at a dirt cheap price this is the college for you. As a recent graduate I got a decent education here, and the faculty were awesome. The campus is updated and modern, and the buildings are clean and well kept. The small class sizes are very nice, because you really get to know your professors. However, what this college lacks is a close sense of community, which I am positive is because it's 90% commuter. People drive to class, sit for 75 minutes, then go home. You can't meet anybody. Additionally, because of its low tuition and central location to Gwinnett county, this college has become the place where parents send their kids who don't really care about furthering their education at a university, because they can still get a degree here (although it be not a highly reputable one I'd say.) I honestly feel like the reason I excelled in all my classes is because half my classmates simply did not care and set the bar so low. It made group projects such a pain in the a$$.
The administration and even some of the faculty will pitch GGC as a "rival" institution to UNG, UGA, GSU, KSU...I don't know how they came to that conclusion, but do not be fooled. This college is nothing like those bigger universities, and I almost wish I had gone to UNG because their film program is bigger and I would have gotten more of that community experience I COMPLETELY missed out on from going to GGC. Granted, I do think I got a pretty good education. The film professors are passionate about what they teach, and I definitely learned a lot (even though their film program is still pretty new, it needs to step up its game in terms of teaching on-set production. Keep that in mind if you decide to major in CMAP). Again, though, I do not think a degree from GGC means as much as a similar degree from another metro ATL college, which I think is also the reason a lot of students will take their core classes here and then transfer. Which is probably what I should have done. But go to GGC if you want to hear about what a "top class" institution this is for four years while you're parking on gravel, and then be kicked out the door with a diploma that literally looks like someone typed it up on Canva in 30 minutes. Welcome to Georgia Gwinnett College.

I've been calling the phone number provided online. The hours of operation isn't up to date on line, on Google map, or over the phone. Made a trip to admission just now just to see if they're close.

A very clean campus with a good business program but finding classes you need is hard when everyone competing for spots. The parking is limited so be sure to show up early to avoid the crowd. They do have EV charging behind A building but they only have one station so it’s first come first serve.

I love GGC but they need to hire more teachers. I'm in the exercise science program and it's ridiculous how when I'm registering for classes there is an limited amount available because of the lack of professors, mind you for each of the classes there is only 1 or 2 professors to choose from and they all fall under the same time.

This campus has a great feeling of inclusiveness with a great flow through the campus and clusters of Adirondack chairs throughout the campus for that community feeling.
I cannot speak on the education because I am NOT a student, nor am I a parent of a student there.
I was only on the campus for a few days because GCA had testing there.
They have great facilities for the students recreation including a basketball court and sand volleyball court.
The Baseball field is beautiful, and the grounds are kept immaculate.
There is plenty of on-site student housing placed right within the campus, they have a wonderful cafeteria and a "Starbucks"

Overall, seems like a great campus
