Founded in 1853, YEARS before that upstart Ivy-League Cornell College wannabe, Cornell College offers small classes, connection with engaged professors, a vibrant and friendly community, and a unique one-course-at-a-time learning format that is better suited to the way humans do their best -- and is more like real life. All on a stunningly beautiful campus in a small town that's on the National Register of Historic Places. If you or someone you know is thinking of attending college, you owe it to yourself or them to check out Cornell College. I went there, and I deeply love my school, its faculty, its people, its career network, and its sprawling and powerful nationwide and international network of motivated and kindly alums. I am currently in my last year at Cornell. Despite COVID, these four years have been great. I am pleased with my choice of Cornell College for my education. The Block Plan is very helpful. Not everything has been perfect. Everything is well put together. The faculty, fellow students, and administrators are friendly. The college is very historical and situated in a beautiful, safe, and welcoming location. I recommend Cornell College.

A delightful small college in Iowa, beautiful campus situated on hills in the quaint town of Mt. Vernon.
Comprised of a little over a 1000 students it provides for lots of direct student and professor interaction.
Unique block program allows for the 1 class at a time model.

Visited Mt. Vernon and Cedar Rapids. Cornell Campus tour with my twin daughters and felt a positive discernment, friendly atmosphere, diverse faculty and programs. Looking forward to visiting while they are in school and graduation.

I graduated from here and I have nothing bad to say. I enjoyed my experience. The best part of Cornell is the One Course At A Time structure. The overall environment is great too. I was part of a social group/fraternity that enriched my experience as well. It might not be perfect for everyone, but I’d recommend anyone looking at colleges to at least look into and consider Cornell.

Always nice to visit the campus. Lots of renovations since our last visit. Admissions staff was very accommodating for our tour. As always, the people of Mt. Vernon were extremely nice. Bon Appétit is amazing, quite the leap from our days in the old scramble format.

Cornell College has a pretty cool little campus. I was here for a track meet and it was a pretty nice track facility for outdoor. The one issue I had was the train tracks and the very fast/loud trains that come by on a regular basis. If I were not there for track, it would have been interesting to watch the trains.

Nicely organized layout, easy walk to all the buildings. Everyone is so friendly/supportive, staff, professors, coaches. Generous scholarship and grant opportunities.
