There is nothing special about the campus and curriculum. What makes this school special is that you do clinicals in the County Hospital, which is a super charged environment. LA county college of nursing has been teaching students since the 19th century. I graduated with the class of 2009 and was happy to be part of that.

As for admissions, when i went there they focused on your grades in the pre requisites, which seemed the fairest approach

This school is not for everyone, and when I say that I mean if you have any lazy just want to get by with as little work as possible bone in your body... don't go here. Yes its hard, it should be. Graduated class of 2015-II, my wife graduated class of 2004-I, and it is a top notch education. If you leave and your not prepared its on you. I passed NCLEX first try 76 questions, now working in a South Central ER and succeeding. You experience things here you will never see again. Nursing is a highly demanding profession with even higher expectations about commitment to patient safety, morals, responsibility, and character. If your lacking in any of those areas this school and its instructors are not about to let you ruin our hard earned good name or even worse the good name of the nursing profession! COUNTY!!! Keep it up guys!!!

Graduated in December 2014, Great School! Very hard but worth it. Passed NCLEX no sweat with how this school prepared me. Working at LAC+USC for clinical rotations is awesome, again very hard, but I would rather be prepared then not. Loved my teachers=)

Their point system is a scam! My results were compared to a couple of students who did well and didn't do well in the interview process. The scores were exactly the same. You shouldn't put all of your eggs in one basket but definitely skip this school.

This school demands a great deal of hard work, but so does the profession. LACCONAH does a great job of preparing nursing students for nursing and you cannot ask for a better (although extremely challenging) clinical setting than LAC+USC. The instructors are educated and experienced and truly care about nursing and shaping students into competent, safe nurses.

Be warned, the area around here is extremely ghetto, you definitely don't want to hang around longer than necessary.
