This is singularly the worst possible school to attend. The administration is a bunch of yes men that pass the buck. Most the instructors collect their money and sit in their office giving you no chances to actually learn. You can go to the advisors about your issues and be told “too bad”. If you’re given any sort of choice attend any other school. My instructor slept in class for 2 semesters and told us we didn’t attend class since he was sleeping during attendance.

I'm a student here, this is my first semester and so far I love it. Beautiful campus. Everyone's really nice, and does alot for the students here. I got a bag of free food cause kinda needed it. They go out of there way here to keep u in good standing

Very nice campus. Traffic was routed perfectly around the campus. It is lacking in security however. I am not a student, but was there for a meeting. I was not sure where I was going and walked in a random door hoping I was close to my meeting area. The door I came in was a major hallway with students obviously preparing for something in the hallway.

I kept walking towards what I thought was the atrium where someone should be to direct me. There was no desk, someone, nor security officer. During the long walk I observed many classrooms that I could have easily walked into.

Not finding anything or anyone that knew where I was going, I went upstairs. I had free reign to walk anywhere I wanted.

Finally I found a janitor. The janitor very quickly picked me out of the other people walking around and saw that I didn’t fit the norm. She asked if she could help me. After stating my business, she not only escorted me to the meeting room, but also gave me the option to use the restroom prior to my meeting.

You, my dear lady, were a blessing and well trained to be on the lookout for strangers. Good job and you should be commended. Thank you.

I am in the business of upper level security for a multimillion dollar company. Much needs to be corrected to prevent a bad actor from roaming the halls of our friends and children.

This is my second year at Chattanooga State and I love it. The professors absolutely care about your success and offer plenty of office hours to come by. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to complicated topics like financial aid. Other students seem just as committed to the work as everyone else. The campus is clean and very pleasant to be in.

The only downside is the parking. It is worth removing a star. It is a nightmare at the beginning of the semester. Unless you wake up early and arrive around eight or nine in the morning, you will struggle to find a parking spot, which is kind of awful when you don't have class for three more hours.

Otherwise, I cannot imagine a better community college here. There are lots of events every month that students can participate in. The cafeteria food is pretty decent and offers a large selection. The library allows food and drink so that you can ear while you work or study. Little things like this make Chatt State super nice.

Also, since someone mentioned the online classes, they will keep you very busy. The instructors expect more work than an actual lecture class, but it is manageable as long as you keep track of your time and when certain things are due.

So far I have found Chattanooga State to be an amazing institution. The vast majority of the professors I have had thus far have been either passionate about their topic, good at teaching, or both. I would also like to state that the facilities at Chattanooga State are very well maintained and designed. The only thing I have found issue with or disliked at Chattanooga State is the disorganization of a small number of professors. Overall, I would recommend Chattanooga State Community Collage to anyone; especially it's math professors and facilities.

I really like this school. Only down side is the online professors/ instructors expect assignments turned in by a certain date...but the professors/instructors take their sweet time grading anything, and rarely return any e-mails. I do not recommend anyone take online course. I have lectures here and loved all most all of my professors they all seem to really care about their students and their success.

I really felt I should go ahead and give this place 5 stars. With experience, I eventually started working as an electronics engineer after becoming an electronics engineering technician here. I wasn't just well educated. I started the job well skilled and confident, and I will attribute that to Chattanooga state.

I wasn't looking forward to going to college in the town I grew up in, where everyone I know would be going for the Tennessee Promise. I also assumed that there would be no opportunities for me at a community college, but I was proven wrong. The music department (my major) is thriving and most of my professors were the absolute best. Student life does their best to put on entertaining events. Lots of free food. A lot of different organizations for you to meet other students: you just have to look for them and take the time to stay on campus after classes even though it's a commuter college. I got to be a part of Global Scholars and other things like that, which focuses on community outreach. I also got to be a part a student representative and peer mentor: which was a lot of fun.
