I joined the school a few years back, they gave me a zero grade for not attending a class that I never knew I even had never went to the class not one day and got charged for it my next semester I couldn’t afford to pay for their mistake when I got my taxes for 2023 they took out $600 to pay for the class. I tried to get it expunged off of my record because it was not my fault. It was a school era. I haven’t been back to the school yet due to this situation the school does not protect their students the way it’s supposed to. It’s a community college most of us need financial assistance.

I would give it a 0 star if I could but I had to put something. This school doesn’t even deserve a star. They are the worst to get in touch with. And the worst by far about student loans. I do NOT recommend this school to anyone! Not even my worst enemy. They are bad about communication. I’ve never got anything in the mail saying I had extra student loans or saying I needed to pay anything. And now all of a sudden they’re demanding money paid in full. This school is a joke.

I've had a wonderful time here. I'n 29 and decided to pursue my education after all these years. I'm going for radiology and the school has been so extremely helpful and friendly through this entire experience.

It should be shut down, except for the fact that they are lucky some of the professors are there when they are too good for it. I left a thorough review on their Facebook page -- which they then decided to hide.

Update: It sounds like Liberty took over. I hope they fixed up their disorganization.

I am a current student, most professors are great. But without fail every semester I have issues with financial aid. They took my pell grant back out of my account the last week of school even though I’m taking enough credits and my classes qualify. I now owe over $700 out of pocket that I don’t have. They took my sub/unsub loans away ( again, I qualified for these) and I had to call 9+times and send multiple emails to get them restored. It’s the last week of the semester and they still haven’t been disbursed to my account. I’m an all A student. I’m pretty sure I spend more time dealing with Financial aid mishaps than I do on schoolwork. Sad. I have also enrolled in a class in a previous semester that was canceled by the school. Highly inconvenient.
UPDATE: The Director of Financial Aid was able to look at my account and fix both my Pell Grant and student loans! I just have to wait for the next dispersment period. I guess we’ll see if it happens. Changed score from 1 star to 2 stars.
UPDATE: They reissued my pell grant, but the semester had ended and they still have not issued my sub/unsub loans.

Student orientation for dual enrollment sucked. It's so tedious and it's not even compatible with high school students who don't even know how to fill some of the information that the school already has.

If this is where you chose to begin your college education, you will never regret it. CVCC has been the most influential experience of my life (I am about to graduate). The counselors, staff, professors, and tutors truly want you to succeed, and are very student-focused. If you need assistance, you will find it. There are countless resources available to students, and not just educational ones. The professors go above and beyond to make sure every student is prepared, have the tools they need when they graduate, and that they have someone who they can trust. This school is 100% all about the students and helping them achieve their goals. I promise, you will never regret attending CVCC.

The professors that I have had are wonderful. The problem is the Financial aid office. 4 phone calls and messages and not a single return call. If it is close to time for them to leave for the day they do not answer.
