I graduated from Trocaire‘s LPN program in 2004. Because I had a C in English literature, Ms Sorci told me I would never be an RN.
Of course, now I have exceeded RN and became a nurse practitioner but what a way to talk to a young student.

The reason for my review is at the time, there were no entrance exams which proves they have nothing to do with how you will do on your boards.
This is a scam these colleges are running, making people take this exam, which clearly is a waste of time, and money.

DO NOT go to to Trocaire. I was told this by others when I applied and didn't listen and I regret it to this day. This is the most disorganized institution that I have ever attended. There is NO communication. You will not be prepared for your boards. And they employ staff that is unhinged, to the point where there were students walking out of the classroom due to the teacher attacking them. And then you will get no support for advisors, staff, or even administrators, and that's even IF you can get in contact with them. They will go after you if you speak up against anything or question their practices. I'm writing this after I have graduated as I felt like I couldn't while I was in the program due to fear of punitive action. You will be expected to teach yourself to be a nurse here. They dont teach. Trocaire is only after your money, and like many of the other reviews I will say that they do try to fail you. They put more time into trying "to catch people" than they do trying to better their once reputable program. So sad. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I graduated from Trocaire College in May of 2018 with a degree in Radiologic Technology. At the time I entered the school, the program had a great reputation, with teachers and staff that had years of experience at the college and in the field. My class was the first class where they took on almost twice as many students. This meant they had to cut the clinic time in half for us because they no longer had enough sites to place us at. The long time director knew this would have negative consequences for the students and for the field, and because she opposed this, she was fired. After that things really started to deteriorate and a couple long time teachers began their exit. I felt like a guinea pig for almost two years. There was an extreme lack of leadership and many students came out unprepared due to not having enough clinic time. The only real message Trocaire College gave me is that they ONLY care about money. I got a good degree, and afterwards a good job, but for the price you pay you might as well go to a community college where you'll pay 1/3 the price. save yourself the trouble.

RUN!!!! I learned absolutely NOTHING from this school. Only with the help of self teaching, Nurse Sara and simple nursing on YouTube, I managed to graduate with my RN degree. This place should be ashamed of how bad it has gotten, such a once reputable institution is a complete dumpster fire

I enrolled in the phlebotomy program. I was bullied by this very pretty 18 year old student. I couldn't believe it as I had not experienced something like this since HS.
I emailed the instructors to please speak with this person.
Jason openly flirted with all the young girls so after my email they had a session where I was openly ridiculed.
I felt I would not get a decent placement from Jason at this point so I asked for my money back.
They refunded my money but will not allow me to take a later class. I am a woman in her 50s and was certainly not a disruption and hostile as they accused me of being.
I did ask the teacher ro slow down on occasion because she was speaking extremely fast and in unfamiliar medical terms.
This is problematic because there is not another program in this area that offers a program that meets my needs. I want to look into suing them for discrimination.

I went there in my 30s. For RN. I was working two jobs . In healthcare. During clinicals the gave 2 patients while everyone had one. I missed over a week when my sister comided suicide. I failed few classes by 2 pts. Clinical nurses stood up for me and said if they were sick I was the one they would want to take care of them. During time I been asking for student tutor. No one available. They kicked me and said I would be better off as a so ial worker. Nice Catholic school.

A bit unorganized. But if you can stay on top of what you need done, it is a one way street to happiness and a rewarding career! I've heard a lot has changed since last year when I graduated but I think it is a great school. I believe they take credits from past schools upto ten years. (This is from when I enrolled in 2017)

Trocaire College is the absolute best College for the Healthcare relations in Westeren New York Erie County and the Ontario , Canada Region and beyond. I especially value and treasure the genuine student focused personal attention and hands on experience in small classes with teachers who have extensive experience of working in a challenging field like the registered nursing profession and other healthcare related fields like radiology technology. I also really enjoy knowing that student support services programs like HEOP/ TOP and TRiO exist on campus to assist a large number of qualified low income first generation students with being retained and graduating from college in 2 to 3 years for the BSRN program, ready to hit the ground running as a qualified Healthcare professional. If you want an excellent experience and the best preparation for several in-demand healthcare professions than Trocaire College of Buffalo, New York is the College for you!
