I recently visited the testing facility and had the best experience. The staff was super nice. Emerald was the best person I’ve had the pleasure talking to. She gave me encouragement and made the check in process less stressful than other testing facilities I’ve been to. The woman who assisted in the back were also super nice and made the situation less stressful. When I finished testing, I was greeted with kindness and the encouragement continued by everyone including Emerald who was so excited for me for passing the test. She helped make me feel so much happier and again, gave me words of encouragement. I’m so grateful for people like Emerald and the other ladies at the testing center. I wish them all the best. I just want to say thank you so much Emerald! I can’t thank you enough!

Horrible experience, I’ve been here a week and it’s been a nightmare truly. No real help save yourself the hassle and attend HCC or attend a 4 year university.

If I would’ve known the hassle and STRESS associated with getting a degree here, I would’ve spent the extra 15k-20k on a 4 year university. That’s how bad my experience was at Lonestar.

Faculty is careless, administrative staff doesn’t care to help, especially if you’re low income, and the deans do not care even when you come with evidence of staff’s wrong doing.

Edit: there have been multiple occasions where professors will change the syllabus mid semester-to suit their own needs, but will NOT WORK WITH YOU!

No one ever seems to be available to pick up the phone. I try calling multiple times and the automated machine says I'm in line but they and up hanging up the call after several minutes of me waiting on hold. I tried to speak to representative and they said they are not available to speak o the phone.

Too many students just here for work study. They are lazy and always have an excuse not to help you. I was turned away while trying to switch a class and now I am stuck with a W and am not able to take any class. Smh. They need to wise up and take this assignment more seriously. This is people's livelihood after all. The front desk associates at the campus on Fairbanks is great. This so called "Main Campus" is disappointing.
