Campus could be nicer, more “campus-ey” and a nice, vibrant student union would build more of a community feeling amongst students. Professors are great, though, especially anthropology with Dr. Meyer. He’s funny and really down to earth. I was nervous to start college but Dr. Meyer’s class was my first and I immediately felt better. I could tell that this professor is more into teaching than he is into just giving out grades. He really gets the whole class interested and engaged. He seems really excited, himself, about what he’s teaching us. So far all 5 of my professors are great. My mother is a high school teacher and she says that community college professors are often the best teachers because they don’t have to spend most of their time doing research and publishing papers. So far I’m really happy that I chose Chaffey!

Now that I’ve been at Chaffey for a year, I think it’s time to give it an honest review. The professors are great. They’re attentive, happy to get questions, treat you as adults, and are all around good people from my experience. The campus itself has a lot of construction going on, but it doesn’t really interfere with student life, and I’m sure when it’s all done the campus will look beautiful.

I think the only negative thing I have to say about Chaffey is the other students here. Some real immature jerk*ffs who can’t grow out of high school go here. I expected college to be for highly motivated people that see education as its own culture, and trust me, those people are here. However, you also got some clowns that make you question why they’re even here. If you answer a question and get it wrong, there’s always that one lame mf who will go “psht.” Seriously, ya’ll grow up comfortable disrespecting people here in Rancho. I’ll just say we’re way more polite towards others in Rialto and San Bernardino.

Other than that, Chaffey’s a great city college. The student store has everything you need, and the Success Center has all the tutoring necessary for fully understanding your courses. The parking can suck towards the beginning of each semester, but it gets easier as people start dropping out (college homework is no joke, especially if you have science/math courses).

Love Chaffey college! One of the most gorgeous campuses in the inland empire, situated close to Cucamonga peak. Staff is nice, easy tutoring, Chaffey has over 200 classes to choose from and has 3 campuses, my favorite one is the rancho Cucamonga though. I graduated Chaffey 2018 and I am proud to say that. Financial aid is easy, Chaffey has huge building dedicated to helping with the proper forms that you need to sign in to college and getting started with your classes. Chaffey has free parking as of 2022, and they even has a food pantry for those in need. I love Chaffey and I hope you will too. BYE...

Chaffey College is a nice little community college. They have programs to help you out and it’s a nice campus. Granted I’ll admit the parking situation can be gruesome ESPECIALLY in the mornings, but overall it’s good Junior College to get started on after high school or beginning a new path.

Title: Extremely Frustrating Experience at Chaffey College

I regret to say that my experience with Chaffey College has been an absolute nightmare. From the start, it was clear that this institution lacks organization and fails to provide even the most basic services to its students. I am compelled to share my frustration and disappointment with others who may be considering attending this college.

I initially applied to Chaffey College with high hopes of taking college classes to earn credits. I diligently submitted my transcripts from previous schools, including both college and high school records. I even obtained authorization to enter a class ahead of time, only to be given the runaround since August 2023. It is now September, and I still cannot apply for any classes or even join a waitlist. I find it mind-boggling that classes for next year are somehow already full, and the system does not allow enrollment for classes starting in October. This level of disorganization is simply unacceptable.

The counseling department at Chaffey College is an absolute joke. It is incredibly frustrating to deal with incompetent individuals who provide no help whatsoever. Trying to get assistance from them feels like jumping through hoops, only to end up going nowhere. On the other hand, the financial aid process was surprisingly quick and straightforward, but that's the only positive aspect I can mention.

One of the most frustrating incidents I encountered was when I had a scheduled appointment for mandatory educational planning with a counselor. However, the counselor never bothered to call me or keep the appointment. When I called to inquire about the situation, I was informed that the appointment had been canceled, even though I never received any notification. They rescheduled me with someone who seemed disinterested and simply enrolled me in every heavy-loaded class for a single semester. This lack of professionalism is beyond disappointing.

Overall, my experience with Chaffey College has been an absolute pain in the butt. The lack of organization, poor communication, and the sheer incompetence of the counseling, admission and gps department have made this institution a complete failure. I would strongly advise anyone considering attending Chaffey College to think twice and explore other options. This college has wasted my time and caused me unnecessary frustration, and I sincerely hope no one else has to endure such an experience.

This is my first ever review which tells you how much of a frustration it has been to be in this school. If you are a parent , kids getting out of high school , etc if you care about your kids or love ones and want a better smooth transition for a college experience who wouldn't give you this much headache problems issues to enroll , add , be in any classes do not come here yourself, don't bring your love ones here you will end up being given the round around for a very long time doing paperwork after paperwork only to end no where and may even end up failing the classes. Do not waste your time apply else where and send your transcripts else where. You will not end up anywhere with this school but left with anger , annoyance and resentment of going here to begin with.

This school needs a whole new management, new staff who actually knows what they are doing ,cares a lot more about helping students succeed; graduating and making something of themselves not the mess that apparently has been going on in this college for years that seems like it hasn't changed or made any efforts to be better in terms of success for the students academic experience.

I went to this school to take science classes. It is a massive campus compared to the other Chaffeys. The library was also massive, with friendly librarians and plenty of resources. They have a success center that offers free tutoring. Parking isn't free but it isn't expensive either. I recommend Chaffey College to anyone who is about to exit high school. Even if you don't know what your major is yet, you can take general education classes that are needed anyways to get a degree. Such as math, reading, English, humanities.

Attending this school was as miserable as dealing with the staff. I need to petition for academic renewal and counseling appointments are enforced to be scheduled two weeks in advance. I waited two weeks for my appointment just for them to tell me NOW that I would need to send them my Citrus transcripts to petition for academic renewal, and that will take another 3 weeks before I can speak to a counselor to get that done. I could have been told this when I scheduled the appointment and it would've been done. Further more they only allow you to remove 2 semesters of units from your record for academic renewal. So 8 years later my GPA still has to suffer for their poor schooling. I currently have a 3.7 GPA at Citrus and have received straight A's these last two semesters. Literally the worst school in the area. They're obsessed with wasting your time and making your life harder for more of your money.
