Good institution. Definitely lot of exposure you'll get from this institution. But If you are from an Orthodox family background, don't prefer this for your daughter for now (as on Feb 2019 due to the huge gender ratio difference)

I had a wonderful time at The American College, Madurai, where I completed my BCA in the 2016 batch. Staying at Washburn Hostel added to the memorable experience with good staff and amazing friends. The college's friendly culture and dress code made it a welcoming place. Located in the main area of the city, it was easily accessible. Overall, it was a fantastic period of my life!

The satellite campus and boys' hostel (Telfer Mook Hall) have very poor infrastructure. There's no network, making it difficult to communicate during emergencies or study.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting THE AMERICAN COLLEGE,Thallakulam,Madurai for admissions. To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement. The staff’s behavior was shockingly inhospitable, bordering on outright rudeness.
? Inhospitable Staff: Upon arriving at the college gate, I was met with cold stares and curt responses. It felt as though I was an inconvenience rather than a prospective student. The staff’s lack of basic courtesy left a lasting impression.
? Illiterate Behavior: I hesitate to use the term “illiterate,” but their actions certainly lacked professionalism. From mispronouncing names to fumbling through paperwork, it was clear that they were unprepared and disinterested. One wonders how they manage their administrative duties.
? Gate Incident: The pinnacle of my unpleasant experience occurred right at the gate. Instead of welcoming me, the staff. [Mr.PAUL DURAI]
engaged in a heated argument with another visitor. Their unprofessional behavior was embarrassing and unbecoming of an educational institution.
? Final Verdict: I strongly advise against considering THE AMERICAN COLLEGE, If this is how they treat potential students, I shudder to think about their conduct once you’re enrolled. Save yourself the frustration and explore other options.
