I applied to this school but all I've discovered is how disorganized and lazy they are. I reached out to the teachers over the program I wanted to take. They sent me an email to talk to a counselor. I reached out to the counselor email and was told to schedule an appointment. When I applied, I called the number to ask for help and she didn't know what I was supposed to select for the certification. Told me to submit a ticket to have them fix it so I did. I get an email saying it was completed but I have no idea what exactly they did because the email didn't say. Was sent a "you're accepted" email with a bunch of links to click on. I tried repeatedly. It wouldn't let me reset my password and then when I did, the system didn't recognize it. I have two degrees with my Master's being done entirely online. Why on earth is their system so ridiculously disorganized and what is with being able to talk with someone? All I can conclude is you get what you pay for which in this case, is absolutely nothing. I wouldn't recommend this school at all. I can't even imagine what hell would await me taking actual classes!

Was able to attend first semester with no issues. On my second semester, my account was blocked due to a transcript missing (which I had sent before my first semester when I had initially registered) so I sent my transcripts again. Still blocked. Called admissions multiple times only for them to only unblock my account after the admissions deadline, but they told me I could still register with advising. I contact advising and they tell me I can't register because I "missed" the deadline. So now I have to miss a semester all because of their own incompetence. Their support is terrible!

The success coaches are rude and really don't care. I've been in contract with one to register for classes. One of the classes I'm not eligible for and I've asked multiple time which course I would need to take in order to become eligible for prerequisite course and still no reply. All she tells me is that I'm not eligible. I highly recommend cleaning house and hiring people that care.

This is the most pathetic college I have ever experienced in my life. I would not recommend anyone here to get enrollment in this college especially those who are planning to go for dual credit courses. My Issue was I had a technical issue over the summer in a dual credit course because of that I missed two weeks of the course and they didn’t accept that thing and put my low grade in the course. Everyone in my school knew about technical issues but didn’t compromise with me and kicked me out of dual credit. I wouldn't say I like their stupid policies. Do not enroll in this college

The representatives are nice but the lack of communication and eagerness to get things handled is beyond me. I have sent my transcripts multiple times for them to not be input in the computer, I have scheduled multiple meetings with an advisor for them to all be cancelled. I have emailed, called, all the things only to get NOWHERE! do better, because kids without parents helping them do all this will be done with college before they even start due to how difficult it is to get information, and to speak to someone without being on hold for an HOUR! please do better as you have so many opportunities to make this college great.

I have been inundated with email telling me to apply now. Non stop. I like many people need assistance because I am not very good with paperwork and what not. I have questions I need to ask. Sometimes I may need to be pointed in the right direction.

You cannot get any assistance.

I have attempted to call and speak with someone, but no one has answers. Everyone refers you to the website. Everyone always seems so annoyed when you finally manage to get someone on the phone.

The last email read, “Are you still interested? Let me know so we can get you started.”

I replied to the email and said I had questions and needed some assistance. I asked to set up a phone interview. That was two weeks ago. This isn’t the first time either. When I have gotten someone in the phone, they will not help unless I have actually applied and they make zero effort to at least point you in the right direction. They INSIST on you filling out application before and kind of communication can proceed. Then once you apply all they do is refer you to the website and the student portal.

I get we are adults and should be capable of doing this stuff on our own, but some of us need things explained just a bit more than others.

Unfortunately they only want to assist current students with their needs. Until you become a student you get lost in their endless paperwork.

I THOUGHT having been a former foster youth and with the state of Texas paying my tuition, they would have been a bit more receptive.

Unfortunately the only thing they care about is getting your money without having to do any work.

20 years I’ve been chasing my degree.

For the last two years I have attempted to get a hold of someone to talk two with no luck.

As skilled as I am I cannot get a decent job because I do not have a degree. Yet the educational system makes it next to impossible to get your degree.

Representatives do not care about students AT ALL. They are very rude, nonchalant and always short every time I call with concerns. They always tell me they are going to place a ticket for the appropriate representative or department or get back in touch with me, and no one ever does. They just close the ticket without explanation. Don’t follow up with me or anything. I asked them about a refund that is owed to me after I went through hoops to get my high school transcript sent to them (I graduated high out of state…. Yep, they waited until THE LAST MINUTE… after the semester had well started to tell me it was needed to complete my financial aid file) ….and they refuse to give me a clear, direct answer. I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism before in my life, especially at an educational institution. I was just trying to knock out a few general education courses for my degree but … don’t come here. I won’t be back after this semester.

The Dallas College system is built to be a complete waste of your time. They make everything unnecessarily hard.

If you are returning after more than a year, Reapply through ApplyTexas. Once you've done that, now you wait. Wait for what? Nobody knows. You will call 3 different people and they will give you 3 different waiting expectations and none of that matters because it will take 5x longer than that. You need to register this semester? Sorry to hear that because they might not get back to you for the next month if not the end of the semester.

I have done this dance with this college before back when I was a high school grad needing to take pre-requisites. I had to run after them for 2 months in the summer just to get registered for my classes. Fast forward 7 years later, I am returning to take credit prerequisites again and unfortunately nothing has changed.

In comparison, I also took prereqs at TCC around the same time 7 years ago and getting my account reactivated and cleared to register for classes last week took only 2 phone calls and 3 business days. Thats it. Meanwhile I started the process 3 weeks ago at Dallas College and I am still waiting 3 weeks later to hear back from admissions.

Don't waste your time with this College. If you have better options please look into them. Registering for a class shouldn't cost your sanity.
