Water breaks seem to be a regular thing. Boil orders. Broken pipes flooding the street. No water coming out of your faucet any given day or time. Never ending joy of a mismanaged archaic infrastructure. Workers on the ground are great. Main company is trash if not dangerously so.

About August 15, 2024 I had to close my great basin
account because my property was up for sale and has since
been sold. I have over ten thousand dollars that I paid to
their installation/Taps department. I was expecting a refund
because No work or any installations were done to the
property. For over 30 days I been trying to work with them
on getting my reimbursement but it has been countless
hours on the phone, with them telling me a decision has to
be made on them refunding money that I paid in good faith.
On September 18, 2024 I spoke to several great basin staff
as well as a supervisor for customer service and the story is
still the same, the refund is pending approval, I truly believe
they did not like me, is involved in refunding my money, the office in
Pahrump never returned my calls, emails their has been 0
responses regarding money I paid up front. Since no work was done what is the issue with the refund!!!!

This is the second month in a row that my payment is not going through that goes through my bill pay through my bank. The billing address is correct as well as the account information. I believe this is due in part of Great Basin Water Co wanting to force consumers to pay through their website which charged a $3 convenience fee. I have never had a problem paying my bills through my BofA bill pay until this company. And unfortunately there are no other water companies in Pahrump so it’s a monopoly.

This company offers Auto Pay but still sends payment request. This is a first for me that Auto Pay the company still request payment, which causes confusion for us older folk.
Easy way for double payment which is not in most budget.

I would give zero stars, if I could. This company expects it's customers to regulate the water usage here, rather than themselves. Today I received notice of water rationing, yet the local golf course visible on Calvada waters every day during the hot part of the day when the most evaporation occurs, and for extended periods of time. Before all the customers are out on water restrictions, I suggest you restrict the largest users first & foremost.... i.e. the golf course!
PS - zero ability to talk to a person also, unless you call the emergency line. If the community's water usage is considered enough of an emergency to send out notices to everyone, it must an emergency! So I have no problem relaying this information via the emergency line.

Like many I'm complaining about billing. Over the last 6 months. I have made prompt monthly payments. I usually receive bill 2 weeks before due date. The first 3 months, I would get the check in the mail 5-7 business day before due date.
Then I would receive courtesy emails stating payment not received. I was thinking, "how can that be."
So the next 3 billing cycles, I made sure I sent payment either that day or next day in the mail.
This month I mailed 12 days before due date. Still not received. I even asked post office how long a first class letter take to get to that zip code. They stated 3-5 days, 7 days max. I'm wondering like the other complaints, are they trying to get that $1.99 convenience fee. I have used online billing/payment and wasn't notified of fee until after I processed.
This is unacceptable for a public utility.
State regulators need to take action.
We as consumers have no other choice, it is a monopoly.

Worst app, website, and customer service!!! Can't log into my account, can't reset my password, can't pay my bill. Can't contact a live representative, except on the emergency line and they won't do anything to resolve any issues.
