For me the experience starts at the front door and I absolutely love the front desk person (Katrina). She knows how to make every customer feel at ease. I frequent the cosmetology school to get my natural hair done and the students do not disappoint plus the price is right.

This is a complete waste of time and money! You don't learn anything, the dean just walks around and never do anything he is supposed to. The school is very unorganized until its time to get your money. The teachers even recommend you not to come there. STAY AWAY FROM MISS SIMPSON! When you speak to her in private she runs and tells are her friends who are students! The medical labs have nothing you need in them to get your education. When my teacher complained to the program director she did nothing about it. When the dean was notified he said basic things we needed to get a proper education was to expensive. None of the credits will transfer. Students fight in the hallway. I was recommended not to go to this school by SEVERAL people but i went anyway. A waste of 8 months and thousands of dollars. You Have Been Warned.

Awesome School, great staff. The Caring nature and want for everyone to to be successful is what draws me to Virginia College. As a student I love the small hands on classes, the teaching staff genuinely care about you and your education. I am very happy with my Decision to attend VC medical billing and coding course.

It's 2014 and this "school" still doesn't seem to have it together. The staff are overworked and underpaid. However some of the staff are genuine people that has the students best interest in mind. Then there are the bad apples that rather throw their "position" around than actually doing their job. The students do not have the proper tools to help them advance and to stick to the syllabus because someone(these bad apples) doesn't know how to delegate nor set deadlines or have back up plans for the student but are in power positions to try and teach someone something.. The turnover rate is high because of the lack of organization at the TOP. The Dean Richard Parenti seems like a shady character. He has had several complaints from our students and is the self proclaimed "Nazi". I am not sure what to make of that but upon my research I see and understand why. Just Google him thoroughly and take a look at the photo of his Great great great grandfather. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...It's a duck. I am not saying Do not go to Virginia College however I will say REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW! ...and if you are an employee or student please share your experience with us
Thanks,
Peace and Blessings

It's funny Ms. Wright, that you say stay away from me; when you've never met me. Virginia College has its flaws, like every other educational institution. We care a lot about our students and wants what's best for them as the start their educational journey!
It is our mission to meet the needs of our students by perfecting their soft skill and preparing them for the real world.
Your success start here!

When I registered for school, the staff was very helpful and nice, but once I started school, the communication within changed completely. No one is on the same page, and when you ask a simple question to the staff, be prepared to receive little to no response at all. The sad part is, I brought other people in to get signed up for school and even they had a terrible time just getting started. That made me look bad and all I did was referred them to the school. Overall, the staff's communication level is poor and I wish I never even referred people to attend. Oh, may I add, the campus does not even supply the tools in the classrooms that is needed for success. For example: an instructor will tell you that the printer is broken, but in realility, the printer only needs a new toner, and when you inform the instructor, he/she will make little to no effort to try to get one replaced. If still plan to attend, all I can say is "Good Luck".

This place is disgusting. The first time I went in to get a mani pedi at the student salon, they paired me up with a student who had all kinds of nasty looking dry and scaly skin on her hands, arms and wrist. Also, she looked dirty and her hair wasn't done. The money I saved wasn't worth it, especially since my manicure only lasted for a few days. Haven't been back since. I'd rather pay full price at a real salon than come here.

I am far from surprised about hearing that the school shut down. To make a long story short I was in for medical billing And coding program from the very first class I knew that I was getting into a program that was not worth it I know that every school has thier classes that you obligated to take this weekend and it’s their way of making more money but these classes were worthless secondly when I got into the real program the teachers were all worthless meaning that every single thing that I learned about medical billing and coding I taught myself from watching YouTube videos . Now after months of studying and a ready passing this it’s difficult certification program and now ready to Take my state boards I have no one I can talk to to help me set this up because they are shut down so I ask what did I just spent $16,000 for and the answer to that is a big disappointment
